ABOUT THE ARTIST
Julia Barrist is an award-winning songwriter, vocalist, and arranger from Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, recognized for her powerful voice and distinctive approach to vocal harmony.
Her songwriting first gained national recognition in 2020 when she won the Jamie Bell Songwriting Competition, helping launch her career as an emerging artist. Since then, she has built a growing online audience of more than 150,000 followers across social platforms.
Julia released her debut single, "Gaslight," in January 2023. That same year, she received the Outstanding Soloist award at a Southern regional of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). In 2024, she performed a featured solo on Billie Eilish's "bury a friend" at the ICCA Finals on Broadway and earned an Outstanding Arrangement award for her work on the performance. The recording was later selected for inclusion on the 2025 Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) album.
Julia's powerful vocals and signature crunchy harmony style have become defining elements of her emerging artistry.
